Octagon Equity has two Principals, Camilo Pabon and Santiago Narvaez, two experienced business professionals with a strong operational, transactional and investing track record. Through their careers, both have accumulated
experience in deal sourcing and execution, as well as in operations across functions and value creation
initiatives design and implementation.
The Principals have a solid 10-year relationship and a proven partnership. They complement each other in skills, personalities, and past experiences, and are aligned in core values.

Camilo Pabon

Prior to founding Octagon Equity, Camilo was a Vice President at Advent International, a global private equity firm, where he was involved in the day-to-day management, performance monitoring, and execution of key strategic initiatives at a portfolio company in the IT services space in Peru, as well as in the analysis and execution of new investments in companies across sectors.
He previously worked at Agrega Partners, a privately held asset management firm specialized in investments in financial services and fintech companies across LatAm, and at J.P. Morgan, where he did Investment Banking based in their New York, Mexico City, and Bogota offices.
Camilo has 11 years of experience in Private Equity and Investment Banking and has closed 20+ transactions in private equity, M&A, and capital markets in excess of US$12 Billion.
Camilo holds a BS in Industrial Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from Universidad de Los Andes, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Santiago Narvaez

Prior to founding Octagon Equity, Santiago was an Investment Professional at Actis, a global infrastructure private equity firm, where he was involved in the establishment of Valia Energia, Actis’ new energy company in Mexico, and where he oversaw the execution of its people and governance plan, organic & inorganic growth, and refinancing initiatives. At Actis Santiago also participated in transactions mobilizing over US$3 Billion of equity and debt.
He previously worked at J.P. Morgan, where he did Investment Banking for Latin America, based in their Bogota and New York offices. Santiago participated in 13 transactions in M&A and capital markets for US$10 Billion, across 6 countries and 9 industries.
Santiago has 9 years of experience in Private Equity and Investment Banking.
Santiago holds a BS in Industrial Engineering, Cum Laude, from Universidad de Los Andes, and an MBA from London Business School.
